Come, let us reinvent the future

I was walking up the stairs at the railway station when this suddenly stuck. There was something behind the bushes. Moreover, it looked familiar.

I couldn’t believe my eyes! It was a railway control panel. As a child, I have had a glance of it, on peeping into the station master’s cabin! How can such an equipment occupying exclusive space and attention land in a junkyard?

It took me quite some time to accept that it is today scrap or obsolete equipment. In my mind it represented a legacy of hardwired systems and a glorious past. ‘Survival of the fittest’, Darwin’s thesis made me wake up!

Survival today is more important for us than ever. As individuals and organizations, if we do not adapt to changes, we can end up with the same fate. Inspired by Indian/Hindu mythology, I started drawing the scene from a story I have heard.

Paalaazhi Madanam 2.0

Vishnu purana says the story of Paalaazhi Manthana (samudra manthana). In the story, the devas strike a deal with the asuras and both join hands to churn paalaazhi, the ocean of milk for the nectar of immortality called Amrit. They use Vasuki, (the snake) as rope and Mandhara parvat (mountain) as the churning rod.

In the modern age of AI, knowledge and wisdom can form the nectar of immortality. These can let humans triumph over machines. We at IndusKLabs are obsessed with considering Mandhara parvat as a DIKW pyramid (Data, Information, Knowledge, Wisdom), and churn out knowledge and wisdom from data. We provide this knowledge and wisdom for individuals and organizations to prosper! Welcome to the age of Paalaazhi Manthana 2.0.
